Standalone card readers
Keep using your existing standalone reader and register the card payment manually in Deskly POS.
With a connected terminal, the amount is offered from Deskly. With a standalone card reader, enter the amount on the device and register the payment in Deskly POS.
Barcode scanners
Scan products with a separate scanner or with your iPad camera. A Bluetooth scanner works straight away, with no pairing or setup.
Bluetooth scanner
Our recommendation for continuous scanning at the counter. Works with any brand in HID mode, from roughly 30 to 80 euros.
USB scanner
Same behaviour as Bluetooth, with a cable to your iPad. Handy at a fixed till.
Your iPad or iPhone camera
No extra device needed. You do have to aim, so it suits occasional scanning rather than a queue of waiting customers.
Any scanner that presents itself as a keyboard (HID mode, the default) works with Deskly POS. There is nothing to configure: the till recognises a scan by how fast the characters arrive.
Cash drawers
Sturdy cash drawers that open automatically as soon as you print a receipt or take a cash payment.
